The KnockAds bot in your channel: what it posts, what it counts, what you decide
What the bot publishes, when it takes an ad down, what it counts, who answers for the content and how to stop everything whenever you like.
In short
In your channel the bot posts ads in the slots you switch on and takes them down at the end of the hour or when the campaign closes. It counts clicks on the button. The content of each ad belongs to the advertiser: to see it first, turn on approval. To stop everything, remove the bot from the administrators.
What happens to an ad in your channel
The KnockAds bot is an administrator of your channel and works only there. When a compatible campaign finds one of your slots free, the bot posts the ad like any other post: the text, an image or a video if there is one, and a button.
- AssignmentA compatible campaign finds your slot free.
- PublicationThe bot posts the ad with its button.
- ClickThe tracked link records the click and takes the reader to the advertiser.
- RemovalAt the end of the hour, or earlier if the campaign stops.
Illustrative diagram: it shows the logic, not real numbers.
The button goes through a KnockAds tracked link, which records the click and then takes the reader to the advertiser's page. At the end of the hour the bot takes the post down, and it does so earlier if the campaign is paused, archived or out of budget.
What the bot does and what you decide
The KnockAds bot

- Removes
- At the end of the hour or when the campaign stops.
- Counts
- Clicks on the button, with filters for bots, previews and duplicates.
- Verifies
- That you are an administrator and that the channel is not already registered.
You
- Choose
- Category, language, days and hours.
- Approve
- Optional: every ad before it runs.
- Stop
- By stopping the channel or removing the bot.
- Collect
- The earnings from valid clicks, with PayPal or bank transfer.
Clicks and channel data
The bot counts clicks on the ad button, and earnings are calculated on the valid ones. Clicks from known bots, link previews and duplicates are not valid, and they do not add to your earnings.
When the analysis reads your subscribers and average views, the server saves them and they cannot be edited from the browser: nobody can touch up the data your earnings are based on, you included. The Terms allow payments to be suspended or adjusted in the case of invalid activity, such as fraudulent clicks, and campaigns created by your own account do not run in your channels.
The content of the ads
Each ad belongs to the advertiser, who must respect the law and the rights of third parties, as the Terms state. Approval is optional and it is yours: turn it on, see every ad before it runs in your channel, and reject the ones you are not happy with. This article explains how it works.
How to stop the ads whenever you like
- Remove the bot from the channel administrators: without the bot, the channel receives no more ads.
- Stop the channel from the app, without removing it.
- Change the calendar to narrow or widen the slots.
