How to earn from your Telegram channel
How you earn by hosting pay-per-click ads in your Telegram channel: what you need to start, what you choose and what your earnings depend on.
In short
You connect the channel, pick a category, a language and hours, and for every valid click on the ads you host you receive a share of the click cost. You can connect a channel with any number of subscribers, and you decide when ads can run. What you earn changes with the campaigns available, the hours you open, the clicks and the click price.
How you earn
Advertisers pay for every click on the button of their ad. You host the ad in your channel and receive a share of the cost of each valid click.
Your earnings show up in the “Earnings” and “Wallet” sections of the app as clicks become valid. To turn them into money, see the article on top-ups and withdrawals.

What you need to get started
- A Telegram channel where you are an administrator or the creator.
- A KnockAds account. From Telegram it is created the first time you open the Mini App, with no email or password; on the web you sign up with your name, email and password. You must be at least 18, and each person has one account.
- The KnockAds bot added as an administrator of the channel: it publishes and removes the ads for you.
A channel connects with any number of subscribers and without waiting for a manual approval. The steps are laid out in this guide. The same account also works for advertising, so you only sign up once.
What you choose and what the bot does
You set the category, the language, the hours and, if you like, the approval of ads. The bot takes care of the rest: it picks the ad among the compatible campaigns, publishes it in the slot you opened and removes it when the hour ends.
You choose
- Category and language
- One or more, starting from the suggested one.
- Days and hours
- The calendar of one-hour slots.
- Approval
- Optional: you see each ad before it runs.
- When to stop
- You stop the channel or remove the bot whenever you like.
The bot does
- Picks the ad
- Among the campaigns compatible with your channel. Campaigns created by your own account do not run in your channels.
- Publishes and removes
- Puts the ad in the slot and takes it down when the hour ends.
- Applies the click price
- It starts from the minimum for the category and language.
- Counts the valid clicks
- Known bots, link previews and duplicates stay out of the count.
What your earnings depend on
Four things move your earnings. The campaigns available for the category and language of your channel: they decide which ads can reach you. The hours you make available: the more hours you open, the more chances campaigns have to run with you. How many subscribers tap the button. And the click price, which has a different minimum for every combination of category and language (the article on the minimum price explains how it works).
When no campaign is compatible with your category and language, nothing runs in the channel: the bot does not post filler messages.
Small channels and large ones
A small channel connects just like a large one. Clicks depend on how many people see the post and tap the button, so subscribers count toward the result. The choices that stay in your hands are category and language: to make them well there is the glossary, and the guide to category and language explains the criteria advertisers use.
Where to start
- Connect the channel following the guide.
- Confirm the suggested category and check the language.
- Choose the days and hours when you accept ads and decide whether you want to approve them one by one: the article on slots and approval shows how.
- See what the bot does in your channel in this article.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a minimum number of subscribers?
No, connecting a channel has no threshold. How many clicks you get depends on how many people see the post.
Can I advertise and host ads with the same account?
Yes. In the app the campaign sections and the channel sections sit together. In the Wallet, the balance for campaigns and the earnings from channels remain two separate balances.
Where do I see how much I have earned?
In the “Earnings” and “Wallet” sections of the app, updated with valid clicks.
